Common Registered Nurse Job Duties

• Works with physicians to develop and manage nursing care plans
• Instruct patients and families in proper treatment
• Helps patients take steps to improve or maintain health
• Responds to inquiries in a responsive and professional manner
• Performs physical assessments of patients, including triage duties and more
• Performs other procedures including: vision screening, apply splints and ace wraps, dressing changes, throat swabbing for cultures and collection of body fluid specimen
